Chapter Five - K-Ching!

Norma waited till the next morning to call the police. She had worked out the story about the fight and that he had stormed off afterwards. She had told them how she waited up all night, tried his cell many times and had gone out looking for him at one point. The police were really no help as they told her he had to be "missing" for forty-eight hours before they could file a report.

'He'll be missing a lot longer than that!' Norma Jean cackled in Norma's head. 'Quiet you, I can't act like the worried housewife if you make me laugh!'

"No officer, I understand. Yes, I will let you know. I am so worried! Please can we get the ball rolling on this?" Norma said into the phone, trying to sound like she meant ever word. "Yes, I understand the procedures, I just don't agree with them. Yes, I do have a friend to call, thank you. I will, uh huh, okay, goodbye."

After she hung up, she looked around the kitchen one more time making sure she disposed of every piece of Bert along with cleaning everything up. She had studied how to make a murder look like nothing, like the person just "disappeared" and she had the chemicals to get rid of any trace of blood even with the special spray and black lights the police used.

Satisfied with the kitchen, she headed into the bathroom. She had chopped Bert's body into little pieces and the blended his remains and bones in the blender, flushing every piece of him down to the sewer. "Rest in piece you shit," she whispered as she checked to make sure everything was clean. "No one will suspect a thing."

She decided to wait to call Hector till the following day, she knew he had witnessed some of the fight and didn't want him to be the one that got suspicious. Not that he would, he'd never seen her get angry like she had with Bert. Hector didn't bring out Norma Jean quite as easily and Bert had. Instead she played with Clarice and made sure the baby was happy. She knew her birthday was coming soon and time would be a lot less Norma's and a lot more Clarice's when that happened.

The following morning Norma woke early, she felt alive and happy for once in her life. She couldn't explain it, she just felt it. She waited till eight o'clock to call Hector and tell him what was going on. She knew Lailia would be at work by then and Hector could come over.

He did just what she expected. Not a half hour later he was at her house. She ran down the stairs to him tears in her eyes. She'd been working getting those just right for the past two days.

"Oh Hector! He left us!" Norma cried as she ran into Hector's arms.
"There, there mi amor, Hector will take care of you," Hector coo'ed, she actually love it when he spoke Spanish to her.

"You are better off without that cheating Bastard. He should rot in hell." Hector told her as he pulled her back looking at her tear streaked face.
"What are we to do? We depended on his income, I can't be alone!" Norma said, a fresh batch of tears streaming down her face. "You have Lailia, I have no one now!"
"Mi Amor, you know Lailia and I have our troubles, don't you worry. In fact, I took your advice, I am moving out." Hector said, trying to sooth Norma. He hated to see his love so sad.

"You are," Norma choked out, "but I thought you said you were not ready to leave her?"
"Ah, but I changed my mind. Am I not allowed to do so? I love you Norma Bates, I want to make you happy."
"I love you too Hector." Norma said as she pulled him into another hug.
"So. I was thinking, if Bert is really gone, why don't I move in here with you and Clarice? She needs a father in her life, and you mi amor, need a man." Hector proposed.
"Oh Hector, that is a wonderful idea! I love you so much!" Norma said. 'Yes, yes, move in with us! We will figure out your demise next!' Norma Jean said inside Norma's head. Norma ignored her, she wasn't so sure, she actually liked Hector.

---------------------------------------

Time passed and the cops finally put Bert's case as a cold case. They said that he probably just left her and Clarice like a coward and didn't want to spend anymore man power or time looking for him.

Norma and Hector settled into a nice route and Norma felt like her life could maybe take a different turn. Maybe she didn't have to kill to be happy, to feel satisfied. Maybe she just needed to meet the right man? Norma Jean however never seemed satisfied and the longer time went on, the more Norma Jean screamed at Norma. 'How can you do this to me! I want to kill him! Let me out! You are evil, do not let that man fool you! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him!'

Norma ignored Norma Jean as much as she could, even to the point of not answering her. Norma Jean never fully went away, but the screaming turned more into sinister whispered and promises. Promises that Norma wouldn't be able to control her forever, that one day Norma's guard would be down and Norma Jean would come out to play again. This time it might not just be Hector she got a hold of.

Because of the threats, Norma was always on high alert. She didn't sleep well, thinking Norma Jean could come out while Norma slept, fulfilling the threats she had given. Norma was starting to be exhausted. When Clarice's birthday rolled around, Norma didn't even have enough energy to have a party. Just her, Hector and Clarice, it was easiest that way.

"Woooo! Yay! Clarice is going to be a big girl!" Hector screamed and blew on the noise maker as Norma blew out the candles. "Wooooooo Clarice!"
"Knock it off! I can't take it anymore! The noise is annoying! You are annoying! If you blow on that fucking thing one more time I am going to wrap my hands around your throat until you are making squeaking noises! Get it! Shut the fuck up!" Norma lost it and screamed at Hector.

'What the hell?' Hector thought, 'she must really be exhausted.'

Norma turned to watch her daughter, trying to ignore Hector and his noise blower. She was so beautiful and Norma couldn't have been prouder. She handed Clarice her present and Clarice took to it right away.

"I named him Lecter and he will be your friend," Norma told the little girl. She knew she couldn't answer her back yet, but soon she would be able to.

The next day Hector had a surprise of his own for his girls. He never told Norma that he was rich, nor had he ever told her what he had planned to do with his money. He knew she was saving up to buy her old family motel back, and so he decided to help her out. A loan of coarse, nothing really hers till she paid him back.

"I have a surprise for you," he stated after Norma got out of the shower.
"You do? Where?" she said, excited as she never got surprises.
"Get Clarice and I'll show you," he replied, giving Norma a kiss.

They got into his car and drove. She had no idea where he was taking them, but the excitement built the longer they drove. They started to head downtown but when they didn't stop, Norma was more curious. 'Where was he talking me?' she asked herself.

Turning onto Lakeside Drive, Norma recognized the motel. "What are you doing?" she asked curiously. Why had he brought her here?
"Now just let me explain." he said as he pulled up to the motel and parked. "I know how you have been saving to buy back your families motel and old house. I knew you were not with me for my money when in all these months you haven't asked about it. Well Norma, I bought the motel for you. Now before you get too excited it is not really yours yet. The money is a loan and the deed will be put in both our names with the stipulation you pay me back. We just need to go down to the bank to work out the rest of the details." Hector told her, looking at her for her reaction.

'The bastard!' Norma Jean screamed, and Norma herself had a hard time holding back. Who the hell did he think he was! Buying her motel from under her! He knew she didn't have the money to pay him back! How was she ever going to! 'Kill him! Before it is finalized!' 'No, that would look too suspicious!' 'I don't care, kill him now!' Norma and Norma Jean argued for a little while about Hector's fate. 'No, we'll play along, then we will make him suffer. Just like we did Bert. We need his money and the motel is ours!'

"Norma? Say something, please." Hector said touching her arm and pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Oh Hector! What a sweet thing to do! I love it!" Norma replied, kissing Hector on the mouth and getting out of the car.
Hector grabbed Clarice and walked over to the long steps on the side of the motel. "See Clarice. this is where you will grow up. Won't that be fun!" he said as he put her down and kissed her forehead.

He didn't see Norma behind him plotting his demise already.

"Grab Clarice and I'll go air out the house!" Hector said as he started to sprint up the stairs.
"Grab Clarice... Clarice, he's right, this is all ours, but it won't be his for long." Norma said as she looked at her daughter with an evil look.

After Hector got the house aired out, and Norma was able to finally look around the Bates House, they headed down to the bank to finalize the deal. Norma would pay back Hector in monthly installments. Installments she could afford if she sold her small little house. It would do for now. She was determined to get married to him and own it all before anything really took place.

That night, after they unpacked some of their stuff, Norma fell asleep in new bedroom. She felt at piece with her decision and Norma Jean seemed to be satisfied. Why had she ever thought she could actually love someone from this town.

Chapter Four - The Betrayal

Hector started hanging out at Norma's more and more. At first it was while Bert was at work, but then Norma started inviting him over while Bert was home. Her plan was worked out and she was ready to put it into motion. She had thought about waiting till Clarice was at least a toddler but she changed her mind one night when Bert had made her get up to take care of Clarice in the middle of the night. 'Worthless piece of shit can't even do the simplest things!" Norma Jean had said, and Norma couldn't agree more.

He'd lied to her about his money. She got her baby she wanted out of him, why was she keeping him around any longer? Hector at least didn't make her skin crawl. He was horrible in his own way, but she could at least stand to have sex with him, unlike Bert, who's fat rolls made her almost throw up every time. 'We could just slice them off and fry them like bacon, then feed them back to him.' Norma Jean had stated on many occasions. Norma loved the idea and thought about it often.

Ding Dong

'Hector is here, lets get this over with!' Norma Jean said as Norma headed to the door. Bert off today, so it was the perfect day to put her plan into work.

"Hey there sexy!" Norma said when she opened the door. Hector and her relationship had moved from friends to friends with benefits. She still hadn't convinced him to leave that sleaze he called a girlfriend, but she was working on it.
"Hey beautiful," he replied as he leaned in for a kiss.
"Mmm you taste like coffee, I like it," Norma said as she grabbed Hector and pulled him into the house.
"Well then, let me kiss you some more so you can taste it." Hector replied seductively.
Just then Bert walked out of the bedroom. "Hey Hector, how is it going?" he said not even paying attention to the scene in front of him.

"What is he doing home?" Hector whispered.
"Don't worry about him, he's oblivious to anything I do." Norma replied, grabbing Hector by the hand and walking him into the bedroom. "He deserves it anyways, he cheated on me while I was pregnant!"
"What! You never told me this!" Hector was shocked.
"I didn't want to scare you away. I just can't be with him anymore and he won't leave. Please Hector help me, just love me, if he finds out, that is all the better." Norma said as she went into Hectors arms trying to convince him to help her with her plan.
"You sure? I am not ready to leave Lailia yet, you know that." Hector replied as he looked into Norma's eyes.
"I know, I just can't be with Bert anymore."

Hector kissed her then and they started to get undressed. If doing it with Bert right in the next room didn't get his attention then she was just going to have to proceed with her plan, leaving this part out. Hector touched her wet spot and sucked on her nipple as they lowered themselves onto the bed. Laughing and kicking the blankets around they made enough noise that she heard the bedroom door open finally.

"What are you guys doing? Ohhh, wrestling? Okay I'll leave you alone." Bert said and turned around and walked out just as fast as he walked in. 'Is he that fucking stupid!' Norma Jean screamed. 'Yes!' replied Norma as she felt Hector enter her.

"Baby... your drying up, do I not turn you on?" she heard Hector mumble.
"Oh yes, just harder!" Norma said.

She hadn't dried up because of Hector. Bert not giving a shit had turned her off. She was only as wet as she was because she thought of how much she'd crush his heart when he walked in on them.

Norma finished satisfying Hector and then got out of bed. "Come on Baby, I'm hungry." she told Hector as she threw his underwear at him.

He quickly got dressed and followed her out into the kitchen. Bert was sitting in his chair reading the paper. 'Not a fucking reaction!' Norma Jean screamed, 'Kill him now!' 'Not in front of Hector!' Norma replied.

"Mmm I want you again," Norma said as she kissed Hector right in front of Bert. "Maybe a round two is in order?"

That finally did it! Bert jumped out of his chair and came running into the kitchen. "What the hell Norma!" he said as he looked at his wife with disgust.

Hector saw the satisfaction on Norma's face and the hurt on Bert's. He  knew he deserved it after what he did to her, and so he too looked satisfied.

"You cheating whore! How could you do this to me! I have given you everything!" Bert started screaming. "I want your fucking bags packed and for you to get the fuck out of my house!"
"Your house!? Are you fucking an idiot?! This is my house you lousy piece of shit! You sold your house, remember! I own this! I own you! You fucking need to shut up and get a clue!" Norma screamed back.

Then Bert did something Norma wasn't expecting.... he slapped her!

Norma stopped screaming and looked at Bert with hate her in eyes. "Hector, you should leave now." she said, her voice changing.

Hector had never heard this voice before and frankly it scared him to death. He grabbed his clothes and walked out the door. He'd call Norma later to check on her, he could still here the screaming from the road.

The fighting continued for hours, Bert started crying like the little baby he was, which just fueled the fire inside Norma even more.

"How could you? I gave you everything you ever asked for?" Bert sobbed.
"I hate you, you little weasel. I have never loved you! I married you for your money and only your money!" Norma replied coldly. She felt Norma Jean pushing closer to the surface, she wouldn't be able to keep her at bay much longer. 'Now lets kill him!'

Norma held back for a little while longer, calling Bert all kinds of names and hurting him as much as she could. When she knew he was broken beyond repair, she walked away, leaving him alone.

And hour went by and she could hear him in the kitchen making himself something to eat. 'Now Norma, now!' Norma Jean chanted. 'Yes, now is perfect!' Norma replied.

She had thought long and hard how she was going to take Bert's life. Set him on fire? Eh, satisfying but not what she wanted for her first kill in Hidden Springs. She could drown him in the bathtub, but they didn't have a bathtub, so that was out. She finally had decided on the perfect weapon. One that would make her daddy proud and honor his first kill.

She snuck to the toolbox then and grabbed out the hammer, her adrenaline rushing through her like a warm comfort. 'Oh yes, this is going to be good,' Norma Jean said as Norma relaxed and let Norma Jean out to play.

Norma Jean was quiet as she snuck up behind Bert. Her heart raced with the anticipation of what she was about to do. It had been so long since she had gotten to come out and play.

"I am going to enjoy this so much," Norma Jean whispered from behind Bert.

Raising the hammer she smashed his head. Blood oozed from the spot she hit, this just made her laugh and hit his harder. Over and over again she beat the hammer against his head. Smashing both his eyes and caving in one side. She felt herself orgasm as his screams slowly died.

"Yes, yes! Fucking die! Oh how I want to bathe in your blood you son of a bitch!'" Norma Jean screamed and laughed as she let his blood spill all over her.

Bert, who had fallen to the floor with the first blow, could barely keep his eyes open as he looked at the deranged woman hovering above him. "Why...." was all he could get out as his eyes closed and his breathing stopped.

Norma Jean laughed and stood up, she felt so alive she didn't want to stop there! "I need to kill more!" she said aloud. 'No! Stop! He's gone, we cannot get ahead of ourselves, our plan will fail then!'

Norma Jean started to loose her grip as Norma started to slowly take back over. She knew she had to get rid of the body and convince the town that Bert had left her. She looked down at the bloody mess that was bits and pieces of Bert. Oh how she loved the site of it, the smell of the fresh blood making her body tingle. 'Are you sure we can't do it some more?' asked Norma Jean, tucked away inside Norma again. 'Soon,' replied Norma, 'Soon.'

Chapter Three - Evil Continues

Over the next few months Norma thought of different ways she could hurt her husband. She wanted to end this charade but she wanted to make him suffer first. She hated him with all her being and thought of his death often. She could make it gruesome causing him pain he'd never felt before, or she could make it swift, just getting rid of him for good.

'Lets do it quickly!Get him out of the way!' Norma Jean often said, but Norma wasn't so sure. Where was the satisfaction in that?

The idea came to her one morning while she was out shopping around town. She'd met a few more of the residence, all of whom just made her skin crawl. The men looked at her like she was a piece of meat, while the women looked at her with disgust and jealousy. That was until she met Hector Mendoza.

Hector wasn't like the other men in town. He didn't fall all over her or even look at her with lust in his eyes. No, he barely looked at her at all in fact. Norma liked this, it gave her a challenge, and so she started to follow Hector around town watching his moves and what he was interested in. She found out he was in a relationship with some tramp named Lailia Al Fachad. Oh how Norma wished she could slice her throat in front of Hector, showing him who was the dominate one. Men needed to be shown who was boss, their pee little minds just couldn't handle making decisions for themselves.

One day Norma was back at the little shop that sold the annoying puppies. She visited there often as people would get the idea she had a nurturing nature and loved all creatures. Suckers, she hated them all and wanted to strangle the little yippers! She also knew that Hector frequented the shop often. She didn't know why as he never played with the barking rags, just got on his laptop and did something for hours.

It was on this day that Norma decided to engage the man in conversation. Bert had pissed her off again that morning and Norma almost ended him right there.

'Bastard fucking left when we went to kill him!' Norma Jean stated. 'I know, but that was probably a good thing, I so want to make him suffer first.' Norma replied.

Hector was at the shop on his laptop again and Norma took this opportunity to sit down and strike up a conversation with him. At first he ignored her, which just gave Norma more reason to get him. She'd like making this one suffer too.

"You are not going to leave me alone are you?" Hector asked, as he shut his laptop and put it back into his backpack.
"Not likely," replied Norma, batting her eyes at him and giving him her seductive smile. "I've seen you around town, I thought I'd say 'Hi'."
"Hi," Hector said nonchalantly as he got up to leave.

Norma clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, 'How dare the bastard walk away from her!' she thought as she stood up and tried to regain control. 'Fucker is going to pay! Maybe I'll kill that pretty little girlfriend in front on him, then make him bathe in her blood. That would show him!'

She stopped herself though and instead tried to get him to communicate with her more. "Are you a writer?" she asked trying to get him to pay attention to her.
"Uh, yes, how did you guess?" he asked as he stopped and turned towards her.
"You just have that look. I see you around a lot with your laptop." she replied. 'There we go, real him in Norma' Norma Jean whispered.

That one little statement was all it took to get his attention. "Oh really?" he asked as he turned around to look at Norma, really look at her. "And what look is that?"
"To tell you the truth, I think it is sexy. Nothing like a man with a mind full of wonder." she replied, sitting back down as he did.

This seemed to please Hector and he started to open up to her. He talked about how his girlfriend thought what he did was a waste of time. How they fought more than they didn't about his writing and guitar playing. He told Norma how he had hoped to become a great music legend or a world best selling author. While he talked on and on, Norma half listened commenting when she needed to and making noises of appreciation to keep him talking. It started to get late when all of a sudden Hector jumped out of his seat and said he had to go.

"Wait!" Norma screamed accidentally, 'Shit, he was going to think I'm desperate!'

She got up and tried to act normal, then when he told her he really needed to go, she tried to give him a kiss. Unfortunately, Hector wasn't as easy to manipulate as Bert and rejected her.

"What are you doing? I have a girlfriend!" he told her, shocked that she tried something.

"I...I didn't mean it as anything but friendly." Norma replied, acting like she was the innocent one here.

'Lets chop his dick off! How dare he reject us!' Norma Jean screamed from inside.

"Oh. I'm sorry, I thought you were trying something else." Hector said, real embarrassment on his face.

'Yes, lets do it, lets chop it up and feed it to his girlfriend!' Norma Jean laughed. Norma ignored Norma Jean for the time being, she couldn't act innocent and answer Norma Jean at the same time.

Hector apologized again, told Norma he really needed to go and headed out the door. Norma watched him till she couldn't see him any longer. 'I will have you Hector Mendoza, even if I have to get rid of that BITCH first to do it.'

----------------------------------------------

Months went by and Norma hadn't "ran" into Hector again. She'd called him on his cell a few times and they'd talked though. Mostly about his writing and how Lailia didn't understand him. Norma turned into the shoulder to cry on for him as it seemed to be what he needed. She pretended to be interested in his book and his latest song he wrote. Both which sucked by the way, but she'd never tell him that.

Bert was getting ready for work one morning while Norma still lay in bed. She hadn't been feeling well the past few days and so her mornings seemed to be getting started later and later. She liked it though, it meant she didn't have to see her husband till the evening and she didn't want to kill his quiet as much.

The pains started then, at first just being small cramps in her stomach. As the morning progressed they got worse. Finally admitting she was in labor, she let Bert know as he got out of the shower.

"Oh my god, oh my god, what do we do!" Bert started to panic and paced around the room.
"I fucking go to the hospital you idiot! What do you think we do?!" Norma said in between contractions. "I swear to god Bert if you don't shut the fuck up I am going to rip that tongue of yours out!"

Bert had heard the threats before most of the time them scaring him. This time he knew it was just the pain talking. Or at least he hoped.

Norma called a taxi and then started to head out the door. "Wait! I need to get dressed first!" Bert yelled as she opened the front door.
"I don't want you there! I'll text you when the baby is born!" Norma replied as she slammed the door shut and headed to the hospital.

Bert stood there confused. His wife scared him sometimes and he knew if he showed up and she really didn't want him there, there would be hell to pay. He contemplated what to do for a few more minutes then decided to just go to work. 'She'd rather have my money than me half the time anyways.' he thought.

--------------------------------------------------

Norma was glad Bert didn't follow her. She couldn't hand the pain on top of his whining sniveling annoying existence. Bringing his baby into the world was bad enough, Norma just hoped it got more of her traits than his.

Labor went on for hours, but Norma actually enjoyed the pain. She felt like her body was tearing open and thought of it as what the men in her life would feel when she got to them. While Norma pushed she thought of how the babies head was being squeezed through a small hole, she then thought of how she could make Bert's head pop while squeezing it through a small hole.

Clarice Bates was born at 5:57pm and Norma could see the evil in her small daughters eyes. Oh yes, she was beautiful, but more importantly Norma would raise her to be just like her.
